Clapbacks from Celebrities That Show Us They Are Much More Wild Than We Thought

November 17, 2010 by Regina Clarke

I think we can all agree that social media has its good sides and its bad sides, but for better or worse, it has changed forever the way we interact with the world around us. One example of this: we can now follow celebrities we like on Twitter and hear their thoughts on all sorts of things. And what have we learned from this new period of access to celebrities’ thoughts? That some celebrities are savage. They are not afraid to clap back at someone they think is being ridiculous, and they are not afraid to bring their feuds out in the open where everyone can see them. Want proof? We’ve gathered some of the most savage tweets from celebrities to show that they can be just as funny, snarky, or sarcastic as the rest of us.

I’m Right Here

There’s nothing I like more than celebrities with a sense of humor and self-deprecation. The entertainment industry is a tough business, and you have to have a sense of self-deprecation in order to survive it. People are going to pick you apart and nitpick your flaws, and you have to know how to take it with grace.

Danny DeVito definitely knows a thing or two about self-deprecation. He’s got too much self-esteem – and probably too much money – to care about shallow things like his looks. Good for him! I wish I had half of his self-confidence. Having self-confidence and humility at the same time is not something you see every day.
