One of the most important things to many people in the world is finding ways to get companies to reduce their carbon footprint. This is meant to be a step closer to helping global warming slow down.

Today we wanted to feature a list of the companies that have committed to reducing their carbon footprint. These companies have resolved to be a part of helping with global warming and reducing their carbon footprint based on the criteria we’re sharing below.

John Deere

This farming equipment company has committed to reduce carbon emissions by 90% on manufactured products and recycle at least 85% of the materials in their facilities.

Cargill

By the year 2025, Cargill plans to lower its carbon emissions to reduce its carbon footprint by 10%.

Coca-Cola

This company plans to significantly reduce its carbon footprint by 25% no later than 2025. Coca-Cola has resolved to find new sustainable ways to make their product to help with this process.

Stonyfield Organic

This company plans to focus on energy and waste conservation with a mission to reduce its carbon footprint by 30% as early as the year 2030.

Starbucks

This company has designed and manufactured a strawless lid to help reduce the number of straws used in the world. They’ve currently branched out to their worldwide locations to continue with their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint through the use of srawless lids.

Nestle

As of late, this company gets most of its energy from wind mills. 85% of Nestlé’s energy is powered by this natural sustainable resource. They’ve also worked to create products using a more sustainable option and have placed first in these sustainability indexes recently.

Unilever

This company is committed to being carbon positive by 2030. Unilever is aiming to remove fossil fuels from their production and make sure that their materials are sustainably sourced. They currently have at least 56% of their agricultural raw materials sourced from a sustainable method.

Can you decrease your carbon footprint?

Now that we shared some of the companies that have committed to reducing their carbon footprint, we wanted to share how the average individual can reduce their carbon footprint. If you’re interested in taking part in committing to reduce your carbon footprint soon, then here are some things you can do or stop doing:

  • Eat mostly fruits and vegetables and buy local organic food whenever possible.
  • Buy clothing from thrift stores and wash your clothes in cold water.
  • Use reusable bags while grocery shopping and anytime it’s possible to do so.
  • Do an energy audit on your home and invest in energy-saving appliances.

These are just a few ways you can transition your life towards reducing your carbon footprint in everyday life.
