September 4, 2023 by Regina Clarke

There are far too many good stories about people who save the planet. Every day a new person steps out and does something, like plant a tree, to help our world. With climate change dangers looming over us, and landfills filling up quickly, it’s no wonder more people are stepping up to help save our planet with small actions that will reap big rewards.

Today we’re featuring some feel good stories about people saving our planet. We hope you enjoy these feel good stories and they help inspire you to do some good for our planet soon!

Plants Tree Everday for 40 Years

An Indian man planeted one tree a day for 40 years in a 1,360 acre spot. Now that he’s been doing this for 40 years, the forest has grown lush trees that is larger than the forest in Central Park. They even made a short documentary about this man, Jadav Payeng, who remains humble about his work.

Search Engine Plants One Tree Per 50 Searches

Yes, it’s true! There’s a search engine called Excosia that plants one tree for every 50 searches that are completed using their search engine. The company decided that planting one tree for every 50 searches completed was the best way to support climate change, reduction in water, and other issues Earth faces. They believe that planting a tree is the cure for many of our climate change issues.

Single-Use Cutlery from Avocados

Well, this is one way to use your resources. A company in Mexico started creating single-use cutlery from avocados. Mexico has over 50% of the world’s supply of avocados so they felt there had to be a way to reuse this crop in a productive climate-changing way. That’s when BioFase, a Mexican-based company, decided they’d start making single-use cutlery out of this crop instead of plastic.

A Net To Stop Polluted Waters

In Australia, a company came up with a fun way to try to stop pollution from reaching the main water source. They use a net! In the past, the workers would have to pick up trash by hand, so one company installed three drainage nets that are put on the culvert to collect the trash running through the water. This allows workers to just go empty the nets and keep the water clean.

Edible Six Pack Rings

Well, this is one way to save wildlife. A company in Florida, Saltwater Brewery, started making edible six-pack rings. This means those six-pack rings that get out into the ocean and are hurting ocean life won’t harm them anymore. The biodegradable six-pack rings are being made to be an alternative to the other six-pack rings that are hurting ocean life. The company hopes that more companies will hop on board and use their rings that are made from biodegradable material and are edible by both humans and animals.

There you have it some feel good stories about people and companies that are making wise decisions to adjust their life and practice new habits to ensure that our planet sticks around a bit longer.
