George Michael
After Freddie Mercury’s passing, George Michael stepped up and almost became the new lead for Queen. Instead, this did not play out the same way everyone had imagined and hoped. George was strongly considered a possible replacement for Freddie Mercury of Queen, and watching him play “Somebody to Love” at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert will help you to understand why.
Now, of course, nobody could ever place the pure talent Freddie held within his small finger, but Michael sure did come close. Do you think George would have been a good addition to the British band? Or is Freddie forever irreplaceable? Either way, I’m sure these two are rocking up Heaven together.
