#21: Drain on a Pedestal
Public drains are usually placed next to the sidewalk where cars generally park. This is mainly because it is a good place and height for water runoff to go and disappear successfully underground in our cities. The main aim is to avoid flooding on extremely rainy days in the city.

For some unknown reason, someone placed the drain in the middle of the road at an elevated angle so that the water couldn’t reach it. This makes no sense when you think about what a drain usually means to do. You can’t skip little details in design!
