Ricky Schroder
At the tender age of twelve, Ricky Schroder secured the lead role in the sitcom “Silver Spoons” from 1982 to 1986. While many child stars experienced a slowdown in their careers, Schroder bucked the trend. Throughout the eighties, he accrued various television credits, including a role in the “Lonesome Dove” miniseries as Newt Dobbs.
Schroder’s career extended beyond acting, as he ventured into directing with projects like “Black Cloud,” “Locker 13” (in which he also had a role), “Hellhounds,” and “Our Wild Hearts.” In interviews, Schroder has mentioned that he had already appeared in sixty commercials by the age of six.
