These days, Mattel is a multi-million dollar corporation that makes toys for every boy and girl worldwide. But they owe a lot of their success to the Barbie doll. The wife of the co-founder of Mattel, Ruth Handler, saw a hole in the American toy market and made it her mission, amongst a board of men, to see this vision come to life.
