Awesome But Disturbing Facts About the Human Body Most People Don’t Know About

January 14, 2010 by Regina Clarke

The human body is fascinating – there’s no other way to put it! It can endure so much, and yet it’s delicate – it really is something to marvel over. Our bodies work hard every day to keep us alive and well. And yet, some of the things our bodies do in order to make that happen are unknown to us, and others are downright weird! Here are some facts about the human body that are both extraordinary and fascinating.

Humans with Shark Teeth?

So, when we think of a shark, we normally picture swimmers running for their lives on the beach while the lifeguards scream at them to get out of the waters. Right? Jaws, anyone? We’ve all seen the movies and had nightmares. Well, would you believe it when we say that we have more in common with sharks than you would probably like to believe?

Our teeth are the same strength as those of sharks. Now, shark teeth may have different shapes and minerals that they are made of, but in strength, they are remarkably similar. It is unlikely that humans would be able to pierce animals as quickly and urgently as a shark does – but if you go tooth for tooth, their strengths are comparable!
