Vacation Mode
When we scroll through our Facebook or Instagram feed, it always seems as if everyone around us is having a good time, while we’re sitting at home scrolling through our Instagram feed, with no real purpose and no prospects. That’s the magic (and also the biggest fault) of social media – it paints a distorted picture, since people share only the happy moments of their lives.
This person had enough of seeing everyone but him having fun all day every day, so they decided they wanted to get in on the fun. While they couldn’t actually take a vacation, they could make it seems like they’re on vacation – and that’s what social media is all about – playing pretend and making people think your life is better than theirs.
