Nobody thought when they first started watching a show about a normal town in Hawkins, Indiana that they would be completely and utterly addicted to the happenings of everyone and everything in Stranger Things. If you are a fan of 80s cinema, then you would have noticed straight away (it was pretty obvious) that the Tv show is riddled with references and easter eggs from some of the world’s most loved 80s classics. The directors of the show, brothers, Matt and Ross Duffer pay homage to directors such as Spielberg, King, and Stephens with different focuses in each season. Grab your Eggos and your best friends because we are about to unleash easter eggs in order from seasons 1,2 and 3 of Stranger Things just in time for the release of season 4. And hey, no spoilers…

There’s a New Sheriff in Town
When it comes to referencing films from the 80s, Netflix’s Stranger Things is pretty good at it. The show has gotten so good at referencing other movies, that the hints have become so simple that we almost can’t even tell when they are displayed right in front of our faces.

Even though there seems to be no correlation between Jaws and this Tv show, the Duffer brothers managed to include an ever so slight greeting to police chief Brody, from the Spielberg 1975 classic, Jaws. Hopper’s uniform carries a great resemblance to that of Brody’s, even down to the triangle patch on their shirt sleeve.
