Angelica Huston
It would appear that fame and money are supposed to be passed down down the generations, just like it happened with the Hustons. Angelica Huston, the daughter of the director John Huston, got her start in the film industry by playing supporting roles in several of her father’s films when she was just starting out. The Postman Always Rings Twice was the film that brought her to widespread attention for the first time, while Prizzi’s Honor was the film that earned her an Academy Award for best supporting actress.
Do you think it’s cool that Angelica Huston is the only member of her family to have won this prestigious award three times? She has made appearances in a wide variety of movies and television shows, some of which include Gardens of Stone, Mr. North, The Witches, and Bastard out of Carolina. More than seventy-five roles in movies and television, and an Academy Award! Nearly 40 award nominations have been submitted for Huston. Then there is her directing prowess, which is undeniably a product of her father’s influence. She is, of course, a published poet as well as a dramatist, in addition to the fact that she is an accomplished author. What a remarkable lady!
