#43: Take Notice of Your Movements
Sometimes, a nagging feeling that something needs a closer look can be more important than we think. The phrase “just in case” can mean the difference between catching a problem early and facing significant consequences later. And it can come from us, our loved ones, or a medical professional.
This person definitely knows the importance of the phrase. After discovering a spec of blood on the toilet paper, their doctor sent them for a colonoscopy “just in case,” and in doing so, they prevented the development of bowel cancer. Imagine if the doctor had instead just finished their sentence with, “It is probably nothing.”
