Top Moments When People Saw Something Interesting and Posted it Online for the World to See

May 26, 2012 by Jade Parker

In our current socio-political climate, watching the news every night can be a rollercoaster of emotions – from horrifying realities to inspiring real-life stories. With all this information available, it is straightforward to lose yourself and be overloaded with information. That is why, from time to time, we need a breather. In a toxic and exhausting society, a breath of fresh air is definitely a need. Thankfully, there are social media platforms. Even though they contain news from time to time, seeing a meme that could tickle your soul is priceless. It might be just a video or image, but the effect that it has on your mood is simply unparalleled. This is one of the good things about social media; you get to have your own non-toxic and fun break from stressful things. You don’t have to transfer to Facebook while reading this to look for these things; we’ve got you covered. Here are some of the ‘mildly interesting’ things posted by random people online.

Volcanic Pizza

One of the main reasons people chose to pursue Geology before was volcanoes. I was always mesmerized by the processes of their creation up until the day they decide to erupt. Besides the poisonous gases and damaging projectiles and lava, you can’t deny that it is indeed a beautiful nightmare.

Aside from the healthy topsoil, created after an eruption that is suitable for crops; it actually has another benefit. In Guatemala, the volcanic vents of Volcán De Pacaya become a large oven for this guy who cooks pizza. Rest assured that it is far from contamination; I would definitely order two slices!
