Champs Elysees During The Occupation Of Paris
Occupying another’s territory during a war is never a great thing. Seeing all the destruction and terror that is brought in its wake, and the harsh reality of waking up to War. Not knowing what is coming your way, yet knowing today might be your last day. No one wishes that on anyone else.
The first picture brings terror to anyone who looks at it; what more for anyone else who was present during that awful era and had to experience war. The aftermath picture is “normal” in a ghost of memories sort of way. It should evoke some type of feeling when you compare the two.
