Dogs are usually in tropical climates, or climates that are not too hot and not too cold. However, because of evolution, dogs have evolved to suit any environment that they are in. That is why the dogs you find in polar regions are heavily coated with fur, like the Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, and St. Bernard.

This is why some dogs find the cold climate or snowing as favorable and enjoyable. Letting them play around in snow is just like watching your own child enjoying snow for the very first time.
