Music icon, actress, philanthropist, and now apparently movie producer? Is there anything that Dolly Parton can’t do? Fans are only recently finding out that Parton had a major role in producing the infamous tv show Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. Though that’s an awesome fact, it would have been even better if we had gotten to see Dolly in one of the episodes! 

Dolly and her former manager founded Sandollar Productions in 1986, and in 1992 they produced the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” movie. Even though the film didn’t get outstanding reviews, executives at Sandollar had hopes for the storyline and believed it could work as a TV show. From there, the rest is history!
