Eddie Murphy
On a more light-hearted note, after Richard Pryor bet him that he couldn’t sing, Eddie Murphy famously recorded “Party All the Time.” At the time, Richard Pryer wagered $100,000 on Murphy’s inability to sing. Although the origin of this wager is still unknown, it appears to have been legitimate based on what Murphy stated in the sleeve notes of the record.
What a truly epic battle. That is one thing I love about the 80s and 90s era, the fashion, the laidback attitudes, and of course, how to buy a huge home without your parents. Although Eddie’s singing career didn’t take off as much as his acting one, he at least made some good money out of it!
