The Excitements of Adulthood
This one is not as funny as it is concerning! One step to becoming independent is when you finally get an adult’s job, move out of the house and file your own taxes. For Monica, this was an exciting step in her life. Yet, the experience didn’t turn out as she’d expected. Beyond the normal stressors of filing taxes and ensuring that she met the tax deadline, she found out that someone had stolen her identity!
What’s even weirder is that the person who stole her identity filed taxes under her name. We can only hope she found the perpetrator who stole her identity! Hopefully, Monica got this all squared away and next tax season she can truly experience all that filing taxes independently has to offer (which is mostly nothing but a headache – but that’s something she’s got to learn on her own).
