The Monarch Is Above the Law
Ah, the joys of being a monarch. Not only do you get to wear fancy hats and live in a palace, but apparently, you’re also above the law. That’s right, in the UK and Sweden, the monarch is technically immune from prosecution, meaning they can technically break the law without fear of legal consequences.
It’s not exactly a loophole, per se, but more like a legal quirk that has existed for centuries. I can just imagine the Queen of England speeding down the motorway, corgis in tow, with a smug grin on her face knowing she won’t be getting a ticket any time soon. But let’s be real, who needs to break the law when you have a literal army of loyal subjects willing to bend over backward for you?
