Out-Dated Tech
Before smartphones and the seemingly all-knowing search engines of today, kids were forced to figure out a lot more on their own. For example, although Gen X learned some programming, the programming they learned was useful for items like VCRs which we know are hard to find today. Still, the problem-solving skills that Gen X picked up along the way are probably pretty useful even if the tech they are used to has disappeared.
