#40: Stored in My Memories
I’m not sure why this is, but I’ve asked many of my male friends, and for a bunch of us, at least, it seems true. Maybe it’s because we receive fewer compliments about our appearance than women do, so each one is more memorable.

Or maybe because the insecurities we carry are more subtle, it has more of a lasting impact when someone does address them. One way or another, just know that if you say something nice about my looks, you’ll go straight into my lasting memories right next to Martha from elementary school, who liked my toes.
