Most of Australia’s population lives on the red areas of this map
Although Australia is often depicted as a dry, desert country, it is much more than that. With enough space to host 25 million people, you would think the population distribution would be fair – but it’s not.

Most of the population is located on the red spots along the coasts, as you can see. The incredible part is that these areas are only one percent of the continent’s landmass.
