Residents weren’t happy when authorities failed to act on reports of a bear walking around like a human

Privacy at risk

The townsfolk of Oak Ridge were enraged at the thought of how different Pedals’ life could have been had the authorities just listened to him. All they wanted was for someone to be held accountable for what happened–and their target was the hunter who killed him.

However, the nameless hunter couldn’t be punished without a name. The Department of Environmental Protection refused to give out details about the person for fear that it would put them in danger. They only wanted to prevent anyone else from getting hurt.
