#47: Healthy Hacks
With its juicy seeds, the pomegranate is undeniably delicious but notoriously challenging to peel and eat without making a mess. Fortunately, there are several hacks and techniques to make enjoying this delectable fruit much easier. One popular method is cutting off the pomegranate’s top and bottom, creating flat surfaces. Then, make shallow vertical cuts around the circumference, just deep enough to penetrate the skin.
Gently pry the fruit open along the cut lines, revealing the clusters of seeds. Hold the pomegranate half over a bowl, seed-side down, and tap the back with a wooden spoon to release the seeds, which will fall into the bowl. This technique minimizes mess and allows you to savor the sweet, juicy seeds of the pomegranate with ease.
