#38: Fannie Farmer
It really doesn’t seem like such a big thing, but maybe that’s because of the way I like to cook. I’m less of a “precisely follow a recipe” type of cook and more of a “throw a bunch of things together and see what happens” type of cook. But I guess I don’t know what it was like before standardized measurements.
I am a sensitive enough person to put myself in the shoes of a “precisely follow a recipe” type of cook and understand that for them; standardized measurements must be nothing short of life-saving.
