No matter what religion your family is based in, it doesn’t mean you have to believe in the same things. Breaking away from religious ties can be alleviating, but might also put a strain on your relationships and create a distance between you and the ones who disagree with your choices to do so.

If you decide to open up in your beliefs, you don’t necessarily have to tell anyone, especially your family. Ideally, they can think what they want to, and you can still live how you want, as long as you respect their beliefs. If you feel that what you’re doing is best for you, it truly isn’t anyone else’s business.
