#46: Errant E
We love recycling, as it’s great for the environment. Even better, many businesses use recycled items like cardboard and paper for packaging their things instead of buying brand new ones. It’s just one step forward towards a better ecosystem, but each little bit helps! After seeing this photo, I feel like I should be taking a closer look at some of the packaging that comes to my house.
That’s a typewriter “e,” and I’m fascinated by how it got there. Recycled paper rarely has any pieces that stay intact, as it’s shredded and then heated in water to break the fibers all the way down. This is one tough little letter to survive the process. You can even tell it was printed on light paper!
