#18: Skip the Swim
Pools seem to be a major issue when it comes to hotels and Airbnbs. Guests go out of their way to find accommodations with a swimming pool, so you can understand why hotel owners are so eager to advertise them. However, just because they have a pool doesn’t mean it’s useable.
This hotel listing was technically correct: they do have a pool. However, they forgot to clarify that it’s entirely broken. Pools require a lot of upkeep, so it’s understandable if owners fall behind with the maintenance and finally give up altogether. However, if they are going to do that, we would hope they wouldn’t still claim they have a pool.
