#40: To Vent, or Not to Vent?
The point of having a vent in the shower is to allow for proper air ventilation in the room. Ait ventilation is important in every room, but showers sometimes don’t have windows, and so vents are crucial for allowing air to get in and out of the room. Showers can also get pretty stuffy with all the steam from the hot water, which makes vents that much more important.
It looks like this shower doesn’t have a window, so they installed a vent instead. Or that’s what we thought. Upon close inspection, you can see there’s no vent at all – it’s just a piece of useless plastic nailed to the wall. Behind the “vent” you can see the shower tiles. Yep, we’d say this vent isn’t working.
