Where it All Began
Stephen Armstrong, a steadfast local government auditor, led a life that seemed in constant motion. Within the first 14 years of his son Neil’s life, he orchestrated no less than 16 relocations. This nomadic existence uprooted the budding astronaut-to-be and his younger siblings, June and Dean.

It was undoubtedly a period marked by instability, yet a silver lining emerged within the whirlwind of change. Amidst the perpetual to-ing and fro-ing, a passion for aviation began to take shape within young Neil, igniting at the tender age of two.
