mIRC
In the 1990s, our parents always warned us never to give out our personal information to strangers. Today, we let online strangers know where we live so that they can deliver food directly to our front doors. Times have changed and probably not for the better, especially when you consider that you’re allowing total strangers to handle your food.
Anyway, back in the 1990s and 2000s, there was a chat client that allowed strangers with similar interests to just chillax together. It was called mIRC, and the interface was super-simplistic. No ads, no funny business—just your and other people’s aliases and chat messages.
