#29: Some Good Things Are Happening
Despite all the concerning trends we see in the world in 2023, there’s still cause for global celebration as more people than ever before have gained access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation, ultimately resulting in the saving of thousands of lives. As a result, waterborne diseases have seen a significant reduction, particularly benefiting vulnerable communities, children, and women who were disproportionately affected.
