#56: A Hero Among Us
Jennifer Adelle, an on-call firefighter at Epping Fire Station, recently found herself in a remarkable situation while off-duty. On her way home from work, she was flagged down by a neighbor who urgently needed her assistance. Jennifer was quickly taken to a nearby home, where she found a woman in the midst of labor. Remaining calm and drawing upon her firefighter training, she guided the mother through a speedy delivery.
Thanks to her expertise and composure, the baby was born healthy and crying (a reassuring sign). Jennifer continued to provide support until paramedics arrived, and afterward, she saw the mother and baby on Epping High Street, ensuring their well-being. Jennifer’s story may be unique, but thankfully, it’s just one example of the kindness and selflessness of people walking among us.
