I know that this is pretty embarrassing, but I feel like we’re close enough already that I can share it with you: I’m not really sure what a uvula is supposed to look like. In fact, I’m not even one hundred percent sure that I really know what the uvula is.

From what I can tell, its main functions are saliva production, keeping food from entering the nose, and forming particular sounds in certain languages. I wonder if a split uvula impacts the way someone speaks. It’s a shame that the photo caption is typed rather than spoken.
