A Whole New World
There is no denying that the world was a completely different place in 1959. When the first Barbie doll was created, everyone was so excited by this bright-eyed new doll. Men thought she was the ideal woman, women thought she was exceptionally beautiful and children just liked having a new toy that was representative of older people.
But since her creation, the Barbie doll has gone through some serious transformations. After some time, it was no longer was it acceptable for the Barbie doll to look the way she did. Her unrealistic beauty standards plagued women, children, and even men for an entire generation. Barbie might seem a little different these days, but her transformation will serve children much better in the future.
