#33: American Pizza
Should we track down this Twitter user and tell him that technically all pizza is “Italian pizza”, since pizza was first invented in Naples, Italy? So, the way they make pizzas in Italy is the way pizza was originally made. Other local adaptations and variations are great, but they’re not the Real McCoy.
For this person though, who’s used to the American version of pizza, “Italian pizza” seems weird. According to him, it seems “uneven and disproportionate” while the American pizza has more “balance in its design and texture.” I’m sorry, but are we talking about pizza or a sculpture? I agree that pizza is a work of art, but every pizza is perfect in its own way, even if it isn’t shaped like a perfect circle.
