#7: Don’t Stare at the Sun
Well, I guess it’s okay if you look a little closer in this photo, though. There’s a tiny blemish along the lower curve. That black dot is over 3,031.9 miles wide and a mind-blowing 35,151,000 miles away from the sun behind it. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun in our solar system.
I have to stop and ask for a moment: are megaphones terrified of outer space? Everything is incredibly large out there, even the nothingness between celestial objects. If I were terrified of large objects, I’m not sure how I would react because I can’t technically see how big these things are, but I know how large they are, and the mind is a tricky thing.
