#23: The 5-Minute Rule
This is kind of a complicated rule, but we can see how it can count as a universally understood “rule.” This person explained that you should only comment and give feedback about a woman’s appearance when the “problem” can be fixed in under 5 minutes. If you want to bring up something that can’t be changed right then and there… don’t.

What did this person mean? Well, they gave some examples. Easy “fixes” include lipstick on their teeth, some smudged makeup, or a period stain on their pants. These are things that can be quickly changed, and she’ll appreciate you telling her. If you’re out with a woman and you have some opinions about, say, her outfit, hair, or weight, keep that to yourself. Forever. We mean it. She doesn’t ever need to hear your opinion about it because it doesn’t matter.
