Are they covered for flood damage?
This is a pretty weird tale, to say the least. While the mailman was doing his route, he noticed a building with water gushing out of its front doors. It turned out that someone in the building had left a faucet running for who knows how long. Why the water didn’t just go down the drain is a huge mystery.
What’s ironic is that the building belonged to an insurance company. Nobody’s certain whether the building itself was insured, but if it was, we’re betting they never thought to insure their building for floods. Even if they did, wouldn’t claiming flood damage be considered insurance fraud? You can’t burn your own home down and claim its insurance, right?
