Insect feeders
While this guy was traveling to the Netherlands, presumably to enjoy the heck out of Amsterdam, he was shocked to see people place fruit on their front lawns. This guy snapped a picture of oranges and tiny rods holding the orange halves several inches off of the ground and asked Reddit what was going on in the Netherlands.

Apparently, Dutch people have a huge appreciation for insects and what they offer to the ecosystem. These orange halves serve as sustenance for passing bees and bees, which will hopefully help pollinate their gardens. Hopefully, it doesn’t attract any fruit flies in the process!
