Backpack Drama
When riding the subway in New York City, unwritten rules must be obeyed. Things can get quite messy when someone breaks one of those norms on purpose or by accident. If they witness someone being a jerk, fellow passengers aren’t afraid to call them out or start an argument. It appears as if this overheard brawl is taking place in a subway gray area.
When the trains are packed, people take off their backpacks and place them between their legs. A passenger scolded another person for striking them with their luggage on the subway. This lady had every cause to be angry because it’s inconsiderate not to apologize. On the other hand, this other passenger appeared oblivious to her screaming and believed that wearing a backpack was acceptable since you agreed to give up your personal space when getting in a train car. Who do you think is correct?
