Amusing Overheard Conversations in NYC That Made Us Raise an Eyebrow

Another example of a subway rider attempting to bribe a musician to shut off their music on the train. They simply want peace and go to any length to obtain it. “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” by Guns N’ Roses, was being played over the loudspeaker on the train, and this guy just couldn’t take it anymore.

While on a subway, a man offered the artist $5 to stop playing so he could listen to his podcast. Boring! We’re not sure if anyone else on the train agreed with this individual, but listening to a podcast does not seem nearly as amusing. He was only offering $5, which is peanuts in New York City, so we don’t know whether or how far this musician took him up on his offer.
