The Price of Silence
It’s not even a joke on the New York subway, where street performance is so prevalent that it’s known as “pendejo.” Certain trains have regulars who perform at the same time every day in the hopes of obtaining money from kind passengers. Even though they may be entertaining to observe and listen to at first, we’re sure they’d become tiresome after a while for someone who rides the subway every day.

They were desperate to avoid hearing another Bob Dylan cover that they offered to pay him $20 to refrain from performing. We’re curious if the musician accepted the offer or braved it for a few extra dollars. What would you do in this circumstance?
