Amusing Overheard Conversations in NYC That Made Us Raise an Eyebrow

It’s a horrible experience to go through TSA at La Guardia or JFK International Airport. It’s always packed, and the TSA personnel are sternly serious. While we’re sure that TSA agents see some pretty strange things every day, they probably haven’t seen anyone like this lady who attempted to get by on pure chance.

She tried to go through security with a corkscrew wine opener in her luggage, to no avail. In today’s more restrictive airport security environment, many items are prohibited from carrying in a person’s bag. We can’t even bring a bottle of water onto the plane now! She truly believed she’d be able to obtain a sharp bottle opener because she was visiting France, home of excellent wine and cheese? Well played.
