#16: That’s Not an Improvement
Built in 1935, Luna Park is an amusement park in Sydney, Australia. Over the years, many attempts have made the entrance more palatable to the average tourist, but as you can see, it’s fallen short every time. It’s currently closed but plans to reopen soon. Maybe they’ll give it another try?
The park itself offers four roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, and many sideshow games. It’s a permanent carnival in Sidney Harbor. They have all the foods you’d expect to find in Australia, and it’s a very normal, kitschy experience overall. If you ever find yourself there, make sure it’s a sunny and bright day, so you don’t leave with nightmares.
