“Modern Family” star, Sofia Vergara appeared on Ellen’s show back in 2017. Ellen in her usual style teased Vergara mostly about her accent telling her that if she taught her one Spanish word a day, she would in turn teach Vergara one English word a day. Sofia seemed slightly annoyed and commented that she knows English, after which Ellen tried to get her to say words like “flabbergasted” and “discombobulated.” 

After struggling to say the second one, Sofia commented that it wasn’t even a word and that Ellen was just trying to ruin her reputation. While people were not happy with the host, especially after recent allegations, Vergara set the record straight and said she was always in on the joke and never the victim.
