#24: Oh, the Irony
Arnold Schwarzenegger is synonymous with his breakout role in The Terminator. Believe it or not, he was almost passed up for the role by director James Cameron! James was heavily considering casting O.J. Simpson as the Terminator, but decided against it. The reason? O.J. seemed too wholesome to play such a ruthless character.
In today’s world, O.J. is infamous for his possible involvement in the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her lover. Back in the 1980s, though, O.J. was just another athlete-turned-actor who was being seriously considered for roles in action movies. We bet James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger are both relieved that O.J. was passed up for the now-famous role.
