#43: An Authentic Look
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is an 80s comedy classic that features many actors before they were famous. One of these actors is a young Charlie Sheen. He plays a flirtatious bad boy in the police station scene with Jennifer Grey. His role in the movie, though brief, required some preparation.

In order to get the strung-out, red-rimmed look in his eyes, Charlie stayed up for 48 hours straight! He wanted to achieve an “authentic look,” so he deprived his body of sleep. Considering Charlie Sheen’s later substance abuse problems, this seems ironic. However, we think he successfully achieved the look he was going for.
