Got “clickbated”
You’ve probably seen posts like this. “Double click to see magic,” or “double tap to bounce on the trampoline.” Whatever the case, it’s not very magical or jumping-on-trampoline-y. Anyway, LinkedIn took a leaf out of Instagram’s page and implemented the double-tap-to-like feature in early 2020.
This Associate Director fell for this double-tap-to-like ploy and shared his thoughts on the matter. Oh, man, he was bamboozled, but he took it on the chin pretty well for someone get hates “clickbate” stuff. By the way, this wasn’t clickbait, Mr. Associate Director. If you really want to see what clickbait looks like, just scroll through your recommended feed on YouTube.
