#16: Say What?
Trier University is located in Germany, proving that bad logo designs are not only in the United States. This updated logo for their Applied Sciences school is trying a little too hard to be cool and modern. The right side of the logo features a smattering of letters that somehow spell “Hochschule Trier.”

“Hochschule Trier” translates to “Trier University.” We hate to say it, but this logo is confusing. It’s not just because we can’t read German. The spacing between the letters makes this logo look incomplete and hard to read. It looks like a bad game of Wheel of Fortune with plenty of missing letters waiting to be filled in. This logo design gets an “F” in our grade book.
